matter和affair的区别是什么

affair指事件。与event相近。指已经发生或必须去做的任何事情，复数可表示重大的事务，如a public affair公事、affairs of state国务。matter指事情。是普通用语，常指我们所写到或谈到的、必须考虑或处理的事。如：I decided to treat the whole matter as a great joke!我决定把整件事当做一个玩笑。
